Any info on the 25 Equinox integrated garage opener?

I understand there is a software that is required to be updated for it to work, but do anyone have any idea regarding its status update or timeline as to when it is possible to update the software for it to function? i dearly hope someone could share some information before i head up the dealership and deal with the red tape and all just to have a piece of information. I think it is already possible to update it, you just have to go to the dealership for the update.

I agree with them, you should definitely go to the dealer for over the air updates. And I heard some of them are reimbursing buyers since the garage door opener wasn't functional upon launch?

A software update is required for the 2025 Equinox's integrated garage door opener (UG1) to operate correctly. Some dealers are currently reprogramming the update, which GM had originally scheduled for release in Q1 2025. You might qualify for a $250 reimbursement under GM's Customer Satisfaction Program through April 2027 if the opener is missing from your car.

To find out if an update is required or to have it done, use your VIN to contact your dealer. As an alternative, you might get OTA updates.

Yep, also check if your car has RPO UG1 and R6I. Dealers can flash it now, and there's a reimbursement under GM program N242485840 if you qualify.
