I keep getting this "do you wish to disable passenger lockout" notification, and even after I delete it, it keeps coming back. How do i make it go away?

I had the same thing happen on my Chevy Equinox, it kept popping up until I went into the settings and turned off the rear door child lock, that finally stopped the message

Try toggling the passenger lockout off and on in the settings, then back off, but if that doesn't fix it, do a soft reset by holding the power button, might just be a software bug.

wait, what? How are the two related and how did disabling the child lock helped with this? Anyway, it's a safety feature to prevent the passenger from leaning over and fiddling with the infotainment, which is stupid as hell. I've read people online that have found some option in a hidden menu in the infotainment, but I'm not the kind of person that would try that and mess something up.
