Pebble crack on windshield

Okay so i was driving on the highway and guess what, a tiny pebble hit my windshield and now i have a big crack on it. I want to replace it but i heard that some people were waiting for 5-6 months for the replacement from General Motors to arrive/ Is this true and if it is, isn't that insane? LIke what, i need to drive with a huge crack for half a year or so? Is there other option here for me?

Totally insane. If you don't wanna wait that long, you can look into high quality aftermarket glass as a quicker option, but just know it might cause some sensor or camera calibration problems. Its a good idea to check first with your insurance and a trusted shop to figure out the best route.

Yeah, it's been a real issue lately, I know people that have waited months for GM glass, maybe these dealers or glass shops can find one quicker than your local place
