2024 Chevy Equinox

I just got a 2024 Chevy Equinox and noticed the OnStar Basics package is included. I heard that for 2025 models, GM offers 8 years of OnStar Basics at no extra cost. Does anyone know if my 2024 Equinox qualifies for the same 8-year coverage, or is it limited to 5 years?

I looked into this recently too because I was comparing the 2024 and 2025 models. From everything I've seen and heard, the 8 year Onstar basics coverage starts with the 2025 model year. The 2024s, including yours, are still tied to the older setup, which includes 5 years of basic or connected access

It's a bit frustrating that GM didn't extend the 8-year OnStar Basics to 2024 buyers, it feels like we just missed out by a year, even though the tech and services are nearly identical.
